Instead, London Fashion Week Spring / Summer 2023 makeup artists are touting another trend for glowing skin, and this one is perhaps the easiest to show off.

At this year's Fashion East show, Mac's art director and senior makeup artist Terry Barber explained that plump skin is "the next level of glow" and ... mimics sweat.
"The skin is sweaty this season, which is not a disadvantage now," Terry told Refinery29. "All the designers I work with talk about wet skin like I just stepped out of the ocean on vacation or went to the dance floor - or just had sex." Terry says that highlighters aren't the only things that can characterize blushes or shimmery powder finishes. Instead, it's about using creamy products to create a "highly moisturizing" and "layered" foundation.

Terry and his team of professionals, including the professional artist from the Moss Emin team, used the Mac Studio Radiance Face and Body Radiant Sheer Foundation. Terry told R29: “I've used it a lot and the more I wear it the better my face and body. It takes it and makes the skin smooth. The second step is a generous shade of Mac Fix + Magic Radiance, wet Terry said: "This baby is the key to the whole show." Applying the same shade on a heavy eyeshadow brush created what Terry calls a "little dot" around the eyes to shape the face. "Natural fashion is important right now, but this makeup is more about emotion than big affirmation," says Terry.
Don't worry if your skin is prone to acne or has an uneven texture. Bright and plump skin for everyone, customize your products.
