The Raiders focused on Josh McDaniels recovering from his injury and offense during the off week.
It's time for the Las Vegas Raiders to get their team back healthy, fix some bugs and hit the hard reset button as they head into their bye week.
This is especially important after they dropped a point to their division rivals on Monday Night Football.
"They hate to learn the hard way," Raiders head coach Josh McDaniel said of the one-point loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. “I think our team recognizes that they are competitive, but there is a difference between being in the game and finishing the game. These are lessons we hope to learn in the near future."
A few of the Silver and Black's priorities are going into the off week.
The first is to heal your players.
"I think that's the most important thing for us, of course -- first of all, it's going to be bumps and bruises. Make sure you're healthy next week against Houston."
It's not just about keeping the players healthy. He also improves the team by correcting the mistakes they make.
McDaniel noted that this means the team's success on the field depends on two things.
"Do you take this little time and try to evaluate what we are doing well?" McDaniel said. "We'll continue to do it. What are we doing right? And then we have to try to find a solution and try to make progress and see if we can improve these things. I think, "What are we doing wrong that we No need to do more?” I think there is a bucket to drink.
A week break begins for the silver and black.
