Xiaomi was supposed to present the 13 and MIUI 14 series yesterday, but the company decided to postpone the event. Fortunately, information about MIUI 14 seems to have been leaked by an unofficial source.
MIUI Polska writer Kacper Skrzype opened the changelog for the Chinese version of MIUI 14, revealing many additions and changes in the process. Check out his tweet and a screenshot of the edit below.
For starters, Xiaomi promises an improved system architecture that takes up less storage space, boosts app performance, and improves gaming experience.
The company seems to offer some nice customization options. This includes "a plant or pet always waiting on your home screen" and beautiful home screen icons. We assume that the Plants / Animals feature is similar to the Pixel Pals app for iOS. As for the super icons, these icons are similar to the large icons in the Nothing OS app (called Max Icons).
Other customization options include a new home screen widget and folder combinations that give you one-touch access to the apps you need.
Xiaomi offers rich connectivity between devices. These extras include receiving phone calls on your Xiaomi tablet, quickly pairing your headphones with your phone, tablet or TV (and seamlessly switching between them), and automatically sending messages to your phone when you need to type on your TV. . .
The Chinese brand is developing a functional collection for family services. This lets you create groups of up to eight people to share photo albums, manage kids' accounts, and share health tracking information (sleep tracking, heart rate tracking, etc.).

Xiaomi is also updating the Mi AI Assistant, which can now filter unwanted calls, view documents and real-world objects (like plants), translate languages, and more.
Other notable features mentioned in the changelog include advanced search features in settings (such as search history and categories), support for more wireless card readers, and faster connection speeds using mobile data when connected to Wi-Fi. -Fi is very weak. .
Apparently, there is no word yet on whether MIUI 14 will be released for Chinese or global users. In any case, it should be emphasized again that this is the Chinese version of the software. We'll undoubtedly see some of these features globally, but we believe features like Family Services and the Mi AI Assistant will only be available in China.
