How Eric Andre addressed the media's brief relationship with Emily Ratajkowski.
The comedian and model were first spotted together in January, then appeared to confirm their rumored relationship on Valentine's Day when Andre shared a NSFW photo of himself and the model nude.
In a new interview with Rolling Stone, Andre was asked about the title expressing his surprise at the couple, and interviewer Marlo Stern replied, "How could that happen?!"
In response, Andre called himself "ugly", but added that there is an opinion that "attraction is based only on physical appearance".
'How could it be? How can it be!' No one, I'm ugly, I looked like Steve Arkell for the first 20 years of my life.
"I think people think that attractiveness is based only on physical appearance, but beauty is only superficial."
He points to Colin Jost and Scarlett Johansson, as well as other comedians married to Hollywood stars, including John Mulaney and Olivia Munn, adding, "So you can think of acting as a business."
When asked what he thought of the way the relationship was covered up, Andre replied, "I think the intellectual aspect and the mythology is more interesting than the reality."
In Valentine's photo, Andre reclines on a couch, while Ratajkowski's reflection is seen in the mirror behind him. Both are nude, with a cupid's arrow emoji strategically placed on Andre's chest, while Ratajkowski appears on the outside.

However, Ratajkowski said the relationship ended just days after posting the photo on Instagram.
In the TikTok video, the model hints at the end of a "status," which is a casual or open romantic relationship.
The clip shows him lying in bed asking "What will you do when the situation ends?" is displayed on the screen. Later, the text on the screen reads "Would you like to start another one?"
In the interview published on Tuesday, March 14, Andrey did not confirm whether they had split up or not.
