Interior designers always recommend healthy products for home improvement. What are you waiting for to become the most popular in the new year? All three share their predictions here based on their busy schedules.
Last week I did an interview via email. See their bathroom makeover answers below. This is another dish published on Wednesday.
Wash and shower
Wendy Glaister looks smart in the pouring rain in Modesto, California, in the Central Valley. I always recommend it when upgrading from a core package. Many of my clients have health problems and value natural ways to find relief.
The American Society of Interior Designers' 2024 Trends Survey notes that spa-style bathrooms will continue to grow, and steam showers are essential for these expanding spaces. ( The full report will be covered in a future article; head to this page to get it delivered to your inbox .)
Robin Burrell in Greater Dallas, Ft. Note that the Worth area of Keller, TX has used steam showers and many manufacturers offer more options. At the 2023 Kitchen & Bath Industry Show, many exhibitor booths will feature best-in-class system options.
He also believes that aromatherapy is a strong trend in bathrooms. This can be done with a simple shower head or with a more complex system.
"Cold rain is by far the most requested health care feature," said Summer Jensen of Laguna Beach, Calif., in southern Orange County, adding, "This is the latest surge of the virus for health care workers." .
The designer explains that he received a request for a floating pool using water jets to simulate the feeling of weightlessness.
Other accessories
Glister sees shower toilets as a major health trend in bathroom designs in 2024, citing its benefits: “Cleanliness and health are a priority, and clean and dry means fewer infections that can lead to hospitalization. He guides all his clients who want to stay at home after retirement.
Burrill sees security devices as a 2024 trend. “Manufacturers are really upgrading their bathrooms with luxury grab bars, non-slip tiles, fire-resistant pipes and more. I like it ! He explained. The Texas-based designer says these features not only benefit clients, but also people with limited mobility who need rehabilitation, and reduce falls for everyone.
Bathroom equipment
He said Gloster customers greatly value the automation of lighting, window treatments, heating and cooling functions. “For example, waking up in the morning means the curtains are on, the selected light is on, the coffee maker is on and the shower is on. This makes it easier to get through the day.
Jensen sees circadian lighting as a strong trend for the new year. “The morning sun - cool white, which vibrates more strongly in the morning - wakes us up! In the evening, the light is warm and close to the color of sunset, which helps us prepare for sleep. Cloud lighting technology can bring the same color changing feature to your home.
Price
“Due to stricter finishing regulations and new manufacturing technologies, these prices make me think there will be a higher adjustment in 2024,” Jensen predicts.
“I think as steam technology advances, we'll see prices change,” Brill suggests. A great example is heated floors! As technology advances, there are many price points available.
However, he notes that everything has become more expensive these days, which may have a short-term impact on the democratization of security engineering.
