When it comes to mother-daughter pairings, it doesn't get any cuter than Diane Ladd and Laura Dern . Dern, 56, known for her stunning performances in films like Big Little Lies and Jurassic Park and most recently Little Women , 88-year-old Ladd has wrapped. The actress received Golden Globes for Alice and Stephen King's Animal Kingdom series, which appeared in the 70s and 80s. He is also known for his role in the movie Enlightened with Darn .

So what do these two powerhouses do to keep their mental and physical health in tip-top shape during the busy holiday season? Both focus on boosting immunity by spending time with loved ones.

“We watch movies, laugh, share stories and enjoy time with the people we love. And we try to sleep, eat well and respect each other," Deer told Parade.

Ladd agrees, but has other suggestions. "Make sure you smile, hug and wrap presents early so you have time to enjoy Christmas and give a little to those who took it from you," she said. Dern admits that implementing these plans will be difficult, but she plans to become a better listener, kinder and more outgoing. And of course, as actors, they also have professional goals. "We wanted to make a film to encourage others to be kind," Dern said. "So everyone has the same goal."
