If this is your first time reading my review, hey, I'm the epitome of combination skin. Although my T-zone gets really oily and I get breakouts and blackheads from time to time, the rest of my face is really dry and needs moisturizing. The first thing that caught my attention when I looked at the ingredients is that this cleansing gel is made without soap. Dermalogica chose Quillaja saponaria (also known as bark soap), which is naturally soft and foamy, gently washing away oil, makeup and dirt built up throughout the day. Soothing peppermint and lavender balm extracts are added to soothe and hydrate the skin to balance the deep cleansing ingredients. After applying a small amount of the gel to my wet hands and applying it to my wet face and neck, I immediately felt a satisfying cooling sensation. After rinsing, my skin feels clean, I don't feel any tightness or peeling from washing my face too hard. I was hooked from the first use, I used it day and night and felt the acne and dry patches disappear.
